New Every Morning

Have you ever had a deep seated passion one day that took over all the other interests in your life?  For the last couple of years, writing about the antics of Carl has been a joy that I have loved to share with all of my cyberspace friends. But recently, a desire to go a little deeper into the lives of women in the Bible has pushed my thoughts in a different direction.

As I have studied these women, I have been consumed with so many complex emotions. At first, when I hadn’t made their acquaintances, I thought they would be boring and old fashion. But what I have found instead, are women just like us, with the same desires and shortfalls.

For all you men that are out there, I hope you will also want to discover more about the women that are the center of your life. As for the pet lovers, I will continue to write about my four legged friend.

Just a couple of minutes ago, Carl was seen leading my husband down the road to who knows where. With his head held high and tailless tail wagging, he could be seen walking the neighborhood. I am sure there is an adventure in the making.

We are all unique and ever changing. That is what is wonderful about life.  We don’t have to get stuck in what our passions were. Just as we don’t have to get wedged in our yesterdays.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:23

  1. Hi Cora, I loved your devotion this time…and the picture of your Bible and the other things sitting around…It was “fun” to see the verse I had laminated for the “group” on your desk. You are sweet to have it seeing there to read. I love that one!! Have a wonderful Mother’s Day, Cora! Love, Kathleen
