5:30 am. Sleep has been interrupted by thoughts that come at me like water splashing over rocks in a rain drenched stream.
December 15th has finally come. A day that has been on the calendar since September. A day that appeared so luminous from afar until now. A day that has abruptly found its way into my present.
These last three months of living with a cancer diagnosis has taught me a lot about my Creator and how He wants to bless me even when life doesn’t play out the way I believed it should. And it is in these times of scripts that are written for us, instead of by us that true joy can be discovered.
You see, happiness is based on our circumstances, but joy is a deep inner peace that is only obtained when we take our minds off of the things we wish for and place our attention on a good and loving God.
I have never experienced anything like this before. The joy of being lifted up by so many of you. I have come to realize that our prayers matter. And as I go through this day, with so many hearts and hands held high, I want to let you know I feel a sense of love that can’t be expressed in words.

Continuing to pray for you, Cora.
We, your sisters in Christ, are so very honored to be able to go before God’s throne on your behalf, Cora. From the beginning, God planned it this way, that we should love and care for and pray for one another as we share our lives. Your post reminded me of this verse, when Paul was under great pressure in his ministry, and his brothers and sisters in Corinth were praying for him.
2 Corinthians 1:10-11 NIV
[10] He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, [11] as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

May God protect you and keep you and bring complete healing to you. I love you, Patty
Patty, we have so much to learn from Paul and how he lived his life for Christ. I appreciate all your prayers! Cora
