Living in a Blessing

It has been a couple of days to digest my new truth and I must admit that I feel like I’m living in a blessing. Again, I want to preface this with the fact that my journey is unique to me and as everyone has pointed out, if you’re to have cancer, thyroid cancer is the one to have.

But even so, it does alter the plans I have set on my calendar to include trips to Duke Cancer Hospital along with surgery and rehab. So, you might ask, what are the blessings I referred to? Very simply, you.

Mark 2: 3-4 “Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.”

This is what I’m visualizing when you pray for me. You are literally digging through the physical realm and entering the spiritual nature that leads to Jesus. You see, Jesus healed the man because of his friends’ faith and their willingness to dig through the roof.

Your prayers and encouraging words matter.

I also feel very blessed to have a husband who loves me dearly. As for Vern, my French bull dog, he has taken on his role as a therapy dog. It’s like he knows something isn’t right and has been more attentive.

So, keep the prayers coming and while you’re at it, ask God to reveal the blessings in your life. Because I know without a doubt, they’re all around you.
